N-3 AND K-6 PROGRAM CLOSURES: Please be advised that Chapter 49 specifically prohibits PDE to certify candidates for the N-3 and K-6 certifications beginning on September 1, 2013.
PDE will only issue the new Pre K-4, 4-8 and Special Education Pre K-8 and 7-12 certificates beginning on September 1, 2013 for candidates that have completed an approved program.
All candidates in the N-3 and K-6 Programs must complete all certification requirements by August 31, 2013, including testing and submitting an application to PDE. PDE will issue certificates to candidates whose complete applications are received by that date.

Accreditation - Site of organizations we are accredited by.
Certification - Certification is a process resulting in a credential which is earned by successfully completing a prescribed sequence of courses and classroom experiences, state-mandated examinations, and by meeting appropriate mental, physical, and moral criteria. A teaching certificate enables the holder of the credential to teach the subject area(s) cited on the certificate in the state of Pennsylvania.

Partnerships - We are in partnership with the K-16 Council whose primary goal is to address improvement of academic achievement at all levels(K-16) for successful school-to-work transition, improved rates of school-to-college transition, and an increase in the persistence rate for students in the North-Central Pennsylvania Region.
Student Teaching - Contains applications and forms required for student teaching.
Student Teacher Workshops - Be aware that workshops are required for New York Certification.
