The Mansfield University Concert Choir, under the direction of Peggy Dettwiler, has been invited to perform in Carnegie Hall in New York City on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.Their appearance is part of the Perfofming Arts Educators' Eighth-Annual Invitational.
The renowned Concert Choir will present a 25-minute solo performance of the works by William Byrd, Anton Bruckner and Diane White, plus a Spiritual and American Folk Hymn.
The Carnegie concert, entitled "World Voices in Motion," also features NAVE, a community choir from Virgina and select dance ensembles from throughout the Northeast. In addition, two high school choirs directed by Mansfield University alums, Jill Davis (New York) and Jason Strunk (Washington, D.C.), will appear in cameo performances.
