We welcome your interest in the Psychology major at Mansfield University.
Our psychology Department is student focused and we pride ourselves on creating a positive and supportive environment. Students receive close mentoring and advising in an academic “family” atmosphere. Our students are active in Psychology Club, Human Resource Management Club, and Psi Chi, the international honor society in Psychology.
Our graduates have had success in obtaining admission to research based and applied graduate programs or post-baccalaureate employment in human service, educational and business settings and in a wide range of other work arenas.
All students in the psychology major earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. The core program consists of foundational courses that emphasize psychological science in an integrated curriculum that is coordinated with individual career plans.
Students choose from one (or two) of our five concentrations which help focus and guide their path through the major. The requirements and course options for the core program and concentrations are summarized inside this flyer.
