ServSafe Recertification Examination

Mansfield University is offering the ServSafe recertification exam for those who already possess ServSafe certification and wish to renew it. The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture requires recertification within five years from the issue date of the original certificate. The ServSafe recertification requires only the passing of the examination with a minimum score of 75%. The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture no longer requires those with ServSafe certification to obtain Food Employee Certificates. Because the ServSafe text has changed significantly in the last five years, it is recommended that you purchase the newest edition of the ServSafe course book to assist in passing the exam. The textbook may be purchased at the ServSafe website.
