Academic year opportunities


Mansfield University's agreement with Charles Sturt University provides opportunities for direct faculty exchanges. It also permits MU faculty on sabbatical to participate in various activities at any of CSU's three campuses in Bathurst, Wagga Wagga, and Albury. Mansfield University has recently signed a new exchange agreement with Central Queensland University which has campuses or offers programs in Bundaberg, Emerald, Gladstone, Rockhampton, Mackay, Sydney, and Melbourne. Additional information about this exchange will be posted soon but in the meantime you can visit the CQU website and check out the many programs they offer.


Mansfield University has a mutual exchange agreement with Volgograd State University in Russia. Each fall semester a group of Mansfield undergraduate students led by a regular MU professor exchanges places with a group from Volgograd. The Mansfield professor teaches courses in English in his or her own discipline and also delivers special lectures to the university at large. Professors may also participate in the Russian language and culture classes along with Mansfield students if they choose. Other activities have included cultural excursions and tours of Moscow and St. Petersburg Housing is provided by Volgograd State University. Costs for travel, food, and optional excursions are the responsibility of the professor. The MU professor receives his or her regular salary plus a stipend from VSU. The Fulbright program offers a variety of opportunities for research, teaching, and service abroad.

The Council on International Educational Exchange offers an annual series of international faculty development seminars.

Programs in development

Mansfield University is currently seeking or exploring possibilities of agreements for faculty exchange with universities in China, England, Scotland, and Turkey. If you are interested in pursuing an exchange in a country other than those listed, please contact the Office of Study Abroad.
